2025
My client was charged with a high alcohol reading and crashed his vehicle into another. After negotiation and working alongside him and his family a full application was made to the court for a discharge without conviction pursuant to Section 106 of the Sentencing Act 2002. He was at the start of his career and despite the police opposing the application, the Judge discharged him without conviction.
2025
A previous client contacted me as he faced new allegations of theft of a motor vehicle and serious high value receiving offences. He denied the charges and the matter proceeded to trial. After cross examination through to the client also giving evidence with my help, the Judge found him not guilty on all charges. He was acquitted.
2024
A client was alleged to have assaulted his ex-partner over an extended period. The case involved a complex family background with various witnesses from both the Crown and defence. It proceeded to a jury trial. My client was adamant of his innocence. After rigorous cross examination and a full trial lasting over a week the jury could not decide on a verdict. From the hung jury further negotiation took place with the Crown later withdrawing the charges.
